Better Work

Better Work is a collaboration between the United Nations’ International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Operating on the ground in 13 countries across three continents, they create lasting and measurable impact in the industry.

Goal:
I'm an external consultant collaborating with multidisciplinary international teams from the communication and research departments based in Geneva and Bangkok. My role required a strategic approach to design and summarize research findings, transforming complex data into comprehensive reports, videos, presentations, and other media for a global audience.
Process
1. Understanding the Brief
Collaboration Across Borders: Engage with communication and research teams to understand project objectives and stakeholder needs from different parts of the world.
2. Strategic Planning
Defining Deliverables: Outline key design assets, including brand manuals, design systems, iconography, templates, and social media standards.
Research Synthesis: Develop a strategy to summarize and visualize research findings effectively.
3. Design & Development
Brand Manuals & Design Systems:​​​​​​​ Create guidelines to ensure consistency across all communications.
Iconography: Design custom icon sets.
Social Media: Creating templates and standardizing social media posts.
Motion Design & Video Editing: Edit videos to succinctly summarize research insights and create engaging motion graphics.
Presentations & Infographics: Craft engaging presentations combining compelling narratives with data-driven infographics.
Reports: Compile comprehensive research findings into detailed reports
Visual Posters: design visual posters for events and campaigns
4. Final Delivery & Impact
Consistent Global Communication: Delivered a suite of high-quality design materials that effectively communicated research findings across various media channels.
Effective International Collaboration: Ensured smooth communication in English with teams in different regions, aligning strategies and fostering collaboration.
